FAQs

Which pets can be caged and traded?

As of 1.23.13, there are 183 pets in game that can be traded. Remember, wild pets (those you capture) cannot be traded. That means tradeable pets are limited to the following sources:

Vendors
Quest Rewards
Drops
Trading Card Game
Professions
World Events

How does a pet from another realm get to me?

Simple! Now that pets are account wide, the person with the pet simply creates a character of your faction on your realm, cages the pet and sends it to you.

What's the catch?

There is none! Many of us are sitting on duplicate pets. While you can sell some of them on the auction house, even level them yourself before selling them, this is a different approach to getting rid of your extra pets. A way to contribute to someone who's into the same aspect of the game as you. A way to spread some goodwill. :)

How do we request a specific level/rarity/breed?
Currently there is no way to do this, especially since our pet offerings limited. Also, there's the web functionality side of things. It's not pretty right now.

How can I help the Warcraft Pet Exchange?

Is there a 'wanted to buy' section?

Currently none, but it's on the table.
